I’m Coach Douglas, Owner and Head Coach of B.A.D. Fitness LLC and welcome to my happy place. Throughout my years I have worn many hats to include School Teacher, S.W.A.T. officer, and E.O.D. for the U.S. ARMY to name a few, but the title of Personal Trainer is by far the most rewarding.

I know how it is to feel like you’re not living the life that you deserve simply because of the skin you’re in. I’ve been there. In 2013 I was at my heaviest weighing just over 300lbs so made the decision to change my life and trained myself to successfully lose over 100lbs. Now I’ve made it my life's mission to lead as many people as I can to write their own success story.

My top tips for everyone who is either thinking about starting a new fitness journey or who are pushing full steam ahead is

1. Remember to keep it personal.

2. All progress is good progress and baby steps count too.

3. Not everyone has to know or understand your journey

Hi everyone. My name is Andre Douglas and as of 2022 I’m a 36 year old high school/college Mathematics Teacher. I enjoy sports, game nights with friends (bet you can’t beat me 🤪) and spending time with my wife and daughter.

As I’ve been very active for most of my life, people would think I’m a pretty healthy guy. FALSE. It wasn’t until I joined the B.A.D. Fitness program in 2019 I leaned to unlock the key component of fitness, NUTRITION. I never ate vegetables, never paid attention to portion control, and those two changes made all the difference. Not only did I look better, I FELT better. Since then I’ve been preaching the gospel of nutrition to everyone that asks the question of “how can I look like you?”

We all have our guilty pleasures though, and mine happens to be sweets! Cookies, brownies, cheesecake, whew. It is something I constant work on throughout my journey, trying to balance my wants from my needs.

As the health/fitness scene in the VI is becoming more prominent, I’d like for everyone to know it’s never too early or too late to start. The only person you should be in competition with is yourself. Health and fitness is our BEST defense against sickness and disease. Above all else, it’s POSSIBLE and you’re CAPABLE!

Hello and Welcome!!! My name is Christine Lee Tavernier, affectionately known as Coach Queenie and I am a Human Resources & Public Relations Professional. I am a lover of music, film, and an amazing book, and I am a complete sucker for the art of storytelling. I enjoy writing, hosting, or serving as mistress of ceremonies at events.

I believe the journey to overall wellness begins with the mind. That part about “it all begins with you” resonates well with me because it wasn’t until I began the practice of self-love, to truly harness the power of the mind in tackling and overcoming my fitness challenges. Don’t get me wrong, the mind is not always victorious. If you wave my favorite childhood snack of Chippies Banana Chips in my face, I will shamelessly surrender.

Hailing originally from Jamaica by way of Atlanta, fitness never really became a front runner until I moved to the Virgin Islands. Growing up I played sports and was active but music, public speaking, broadcasting, and culinary arts were my first loves. It wasn’t until 2016, when I watched myself on camera and realized a change was needed; not just physically, but mentally. So, I did the big chop, (cut off all my hair!) and made the decision to choose me. Here I am, 6 years later, 85 pounds lighter, and a part of an amazing team (BAD Fitness) destined to make a difference in the fitness industry.

The health and wellness culture in the USVI is booming. The growth is evident as people become more aware of all the facets of fitness and how they work together for overall well-being. I am excited to be on this journey with my fellow coaches as we strive to help others gain optimal health and wellness.

Hey everyone! My name is Chaunte Samuel aka Coach Te. I have an amazing love for graphics and visual effects and have over 10 years of experience in Multimedia and Marketing. Media has always been my way of expression. In my spare time, if I am not capturing stories through the eyes of a camera lens, I am spending time with my 3 beautiful children who continue to be my inspiration.

As an avid fitness enthusiast, I am constantly seeking ways to challenge my body and my mind on this fitness journey. I am currently studying to become a certified fitness coach so that I may continue to impart the knowledge and experience I have earned to those who are willing to learn.

This journey doesn’t come without its obstacles.

I am in love with what the future has in store for fitness in the USVI. This is my home and I know there is so much potential for growth and sustainability of a focused health and wellness mindset amongst our people. My goal, along with my colleagues here at BAD Fitness, is to see more people facing their fears in challenging themselves one workout at a time. Life is an endless journey, and your future depends on what you do today.
